Was the exorcist scary to you?

I just watched the exorcist for the first time and I was expecting it be really scary, because everyone always telling me that it's one of the scariest movies ever. But, I didn't think it was scary in the slightest degree. It made me laugh more than anything. the only bits that actually creeped me out the slightest bit was when she got injected in the neck (ah sore :P) and when she came down the stairs. the subliminals were creepy. but that was it creepy not scary ...
