Gapped teeth . Casing maybe?

I have a gap in the upper front 4 teeth , my dentist wont allow braces, because he said tat it is cosmetic, so i wondering could i get like a covering , a bit like a denture except it just slides over my teeth, or is there a paste you can buy that would fill in the gaps temporarily that lasts a day or something. give me all your ideas .
