Anyone miss the good old days when the Barbarians actually picked decent teams?

I'm afraid that the culture has changed with professionalism. National unions dominate the more than the clubs now because they get the funding from the TV deals. The British and Irish Lions can thrive because they have the support of the their national Unions, but the Baa-Baas have no one with a real vested interested. Unless the IRB takes them under their wing somehow, I fear their days are numbered.
